Dear UCCS Families,
I previously let everyone know that the bell schedule, hours of the school day, were changing due to the transportation issues (driver shortage) that RCSD is experiencing.
I received a call today from the Director of Transportation for RCSD. He informed me that the UCCS hours of school for students will be 9:30 am – 4:30 pm. RCSD had to tier all their school’s start and end time, so the charter schools were also tiered.
I spoke with the UCCS Board of Trustees President and the UCCS lawyer and they both agreed with me that this change was a necessary agreement that we needed to make. The time change will ensure that our students will arrive to school on time. It also means that UCCS will not lose any of their instructional time.
I will continue to keep you updated as this situation unfolds.
